I am studying for the CompTIA Cyber Security Analyst CySA+ certification and I’ve decided to write posts about each topic! I think this is going to be a great journey, and there is a lot of ground to cover. The CySA+ exam has many different topics and with a price tag of $370USD per attempt, I want to pass first try!
Basically, it picks up where Security+ left off, and goes into log analyzation, Threat detection and management, Risk and Compliance, and Incident Response…then throw in some system security stuff for good measure.
Each of the domains covered in the outline go pretty deep. Especially if you are rather new to cyber security. It’ll cover log analysis, attack vectors, Network and System security best practices, security automation, incident response policy guidelines and more!
I’m looking forward to my trek onward toward this new certification. I am sure it will be a challenge and rewarding. I expect the most challenging part to be explaining these concepts here in these posts!
As many of you know, it is much easier to have something explained to you or to read it in a book than it is to do the explaining. That is what will make this an invaluable tool for me, and hopefully helpful for you!
Do you have any good study tricks?
